Please note, from the 2016 Summer League the Player of the Season competition is now based on overall win% from ALL League frames played. If someone is gifted a frame due to their opponents being short of players, the gifted frame will NOT count towards their win%.
In order to be eligible for the Player of the Season competition, each player must have played at least 60% of all available frames (for the Winter 2019/20 season this equates to 40 out of 66 available frames in Divisions 1 & 2, or 36 out of 60 available frames in Division 3).
As stated above, gifted frames DO NOT count towards these totals, all wins must be earned. If a team forfeits a match for any reason, no frames will be added to the PotS for that match.
If 2 or more player's are tied on the same win%, the player who has played most frames will be listed ahead. For example, P20/W10 & P10/W5 both have 50% win%, but the P20 player would be listed in front as they have sustained that level for longer. If players are still inseparable, their head-to-head record will be used. Failing that, a play-off will be needed to separate them. 8 ball clearances are not being used this season.
As players are now linked in to their teams, any player who transfers during the season will be eligible for the PotS award if they have played enough qualifying frames (60%+) for any one team.
